Washinosu, in the Inai district of Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture.

Fields and rice paddies stretch across the landscape, and a short walk leads to forests and old stone monuments.

 It is a place where traditional scenery still remains. By June, the rice plants have taken root in the flooded paddies.

 As dusk approaches, the birds return to the forest, and soon after, the frogs begin their lively chorus. As the light fades and the frogs start to sing, it somehow feels as if another world is quietly beginning to reveal itself.
